SOAR organizes customized short-term missions for churches, schools, college groups, and individuals. Additionally, we are dedicated to supporting and collaborating with missionaries to advance the gospel globally.
About Us
SOAR Ministries, Inc. (“SOAR”) is a Georgia non-profit organization that aims to help promote, facilitate, and lead short-term mission trips. SOAR’s role may vary somewhat depending on the needs of your group. Still, typically, our role is to provide information and training specific to your group’s trip and generally regarding missions.
Typically, SOAR works through your team leader to help make decisions about your trip. The team leader, along with input from the team members, will determine how funds should be raised for your trip. Your team may decide to do fundraisers to benefit each team member, or you may be asked to provide for or raise funds for your participation. SOAR recommends that each team member raise some of the needed funds by sending letters to friends and family asking for prayer and financial support. This broadens the impact of the mission trip by allowing others to share in the experience by sending you into the mission field.

What We Do
We partner with churches, schools, and individuals to create meaningful mission opportunities that build faith, strengthen communities, and share God’s love.
Each year SOAR sponsors the Angel Bags Project to Bethshean Mexico Mission.
Churches choose to fill cloth-filled bags according to age groups and gender. The children ask for very little, such as school supplies and small toys. Those wishing to participate choose a tag and a bag to fill and return to their local congregation. The bags are then collected and checked. They are loaded on trailers and delivered and unloaded just over the border around Thanksgiving. The Angel Bag team then travels to the mission the day after Christmas and helps to personally delivered to central Mexico in December. Sometimes this is before Christmas and other times this is after Christmas.
